Ch 1: "I want to be Loved"

Simon and Milo had just finished the 3rd concert they had that week. Simon said to the crowd: "Thank you guys, it's been wonderful!!" Then Simon walked off the stage and stormed into the breakroom. He couldn't hold it in any longer, tears welled up in his deep blue rectangular eyes. He started to cry thinking of his now ex-girlfriend; another relationship over, gone, in ruins. Milo, who had been distracted by the building manager, came in to find poor Simon crying softly into the armrest of the couch. Milo was concerned it had been a very tough break-up; Simon had truly believed she was the "one". Her name was: "Carol". Simon had bought with the last of his savings a 15-karat engagement ring, only to have Carol burst into tears and say she was sorry; that she had been cheating on him since day 1, and stealing from him too!! Then ran off with some random guy from the restaurant who came up to him and called him a jerk for making this "poor woman" cry.

Milo walked over to where Simon was crying and patted him on the shoulder and said: "It'll be ok, Simon, you'll see." Simon cried harder in response. Milo then said: "Don't worry, you'll find 'her' one day." Simon said to Milo: "How can you be so sure? I've been trying for so long with *no* luck!" Milo answered: "I just have this feeling that our lives are about to change." Milo said it so mysteriously and yet so seriously that Simon stopped crying and looked at Milo in question: "What do you mean 'change'?" Milo only shrugged and gave Simon a reassuring smile. Simon dried his eyes and sighed: "I want to be loved, Milo. I want someone to love me for who I truly am, and not for the things I do or say........" Milo said to Simon: "Don't worry, one day it'll happen."

But Simon did not realize that one day was going to happen sooner than he thought!!
